Dental Implants

Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants themselves are tiny titanium posts that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life.

Available implant types in our surgery

Straumann

The Straumann Implant System's tapered titanium implant anchors to the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Because the body readily accepts titanium, the gum and jawbone heal quickly and bond completely with the implant. The Straumann Implant System can be used as a fixed base for dentures and crowns, freeing you from the inconvenience of removable dentures.

KSI Bauer

The Method with KSI bauer Schraube Implants is a minimal invasive intervention, so the implants are screwed in the rootchannel of the teeth to be replaced. So there is no deep surgical intervention, no severe bleeding, and it could be painless after 2 days. The healing time is 10 days, thereafter the bridge can be place onto the implants.

Branemark

The system has been tested and developed for over 30 years and the frequency of successful treatments is reliable and predictable for patient and dentist alike. Branemark System is one of the largest brand in the industry and has recently undergone a complete update. The new titanium surface, TiUnite, enhances the bone healing process.

IMTEC

The IMTEC MDI System (MDI as Mini Dental Implants) consists of a miniature titanium implant that acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture, The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a predetermined leve of force. When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue. The implant fixtures allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces.

Evaluation

If, like many others, you feel implant dentistry is the choice for you, we ask that you undergo a dental/radiographic examination and health history. During these consultation visits, your doctor will address your specific needs and considerations. Your questions and concerns are important to us and our team will work with you very closely to help make your procedure a success.

We will also discuss fees and insurance at this time. There are many types of insurance plans, and coverage for implants is varied. We will be happy to assist you in obtaining any benefits to which you may be entitled.

Procedures

Dental implants are metal anchors that act as tooth root substitutes. They are surgically placed into the jawbone. Small posts are attached to the implant to provide stable anchors in the gums for replacement teeth.

Implant in few minutes!

The benefits of the K.S.I. Bauer System

To insert the one-piece one-phase implants, it needs the most few bone to be removed, because its special screw-threads are sharp, self-tapping and not damage fabrics.

In the course of tucking the screw-threads, it has a compression effect onto the bone, to increase density around the implant. The primary fixing is really good.

80% of the cases there is no need for surgical exploration, there is no bleeding, no need to sew wounds, there is no swelling and an afterpain.

The implant immediately can be burdened, the long healing process and the endurance of the nuisances deriving from it are canceled. The patient receives temporary supply promptly following the implant, most obtain his definitive prosthetic dentistry after days in a case then.

Categories and treatment options

Single Missing Tooth

Single Missing Tooth

Situation

1. Esthetic problem
2. Functional reduction
3. Risk of eruption of opposing dentition
4. Risk of drift of neighboring teeth
5. Potential for increased risk of caries and periodontal deterioration

Implant-supported single crown

1. No adjacent tooth preparation
2. Accessibility of proximal contacts
3. Absence of caries
4. Bone stabilization
5. Retrievability

Maxillary Anterior Partially Edentulous

Maxillary Anterior Partially Edentulous

Situation

1. Esthetic problem
2. Functional problem
3. Risk of eruption of opposing dentition
4. Risk of drifting of neighboring teeth
5. Future potential increased risk of caries periodontal breakdown

Implant-supported fixed partial denture

1. Improvement of function
2. Fixedness
3. Retrievability
4. Bone stability
5. No need for tooth preparation
Maxillary Posterior Partially Edentulous

Maxillary Posterior Partially Edentulous

Situation

1. Functional problem
2. Esthetic problem due to missing teeth for some patients
3. Risk of eruption of opposing dentition
4. Risk of drift of neighboring teeth
5. Possible increased caries and periodontal breakdown
6. Lack of posterior support, which may jeopardize muscular and temporo-mandibular joint comfort

Implant-supported fixed partial denture

1. Fixedness
2. Retrievability
3. Independence from natural teeth
4. Bone stability
Mandibular Anterior Partially Edentulous

Mandibular Anterior Partially Edentulous

Situation

1. Esthetic problem
2. Functional problem
3. Risk of eruption of opposing dentition
4. Risk of drift of neighboring teeth
5. Future increased caries and periodontal risks

Implant-supported fixed partial denture
1. Fixedness
2. Retrievability
3. Improved function
4. No tooth preparation
5. No caries risk
6. Predictable success in mandibular anterior region
7. Bone stabilization
Mandibular Posterior Partially Edentulous

Mandibular Posterior Partially Edentulous

Situation

1. Functional problem
2. Risk of eruption of opposing dentition
3. Lack of posterior support, which may jeopardize muscular and temporo-mandibular joint comfort
4. Future increased caries and periodontal risks

Implant-supported fixed partial denture

1. Fixedness
2. Retrievability
3. Bone stabilization
4. No tooth preparation of adjacent teeth
5. No caries risk
6. Improved function
7. Patient unable to function with existing removable prosthesis
Maxilla Completely Edentulous

Maxilla Completely Edentulous

Situation

1. Comletely edentulous arch
2. Continued resoprtion of maxilla beneath complete denture prosthesis
3. Comination syndrome
There is often severe resorption of the anterior maxilla for patients with retained mandibular anterior teeth. This reduces the chance of success with a conventional prosthesis.

1. Fixedness
2. Retrievability
3. Longevity
4. Predictability
5. Increased stability
6. Increased retention
7. Bone stabilization

Mandible Completely Edentulous

Mandible Completely Edentulous

Situation

1. Arch is completely edentulous
2. Mucosa is often thin and non keratinized
3. Resorption of mandible continues under existing complete denture
4. Floor of the mouth is often higher than residual ridge
5. Mental nerve and inferior alveolar bone superior to the nerve
6. Inability to chew
7. Painful chewing
